Our work.
A selection of the work we have done and the projects currently underway.
Conservation & Blue Economy

Sargassum NL
Recently green lit, supported by RVO and the Dutch embassy in Mexico. Marmoris contributes nearshore satellite monitoring to the consortium.

DORY platform
A water quality and habitat monitoring platform built during ESA BIC incubation. Currently offline, fully demoable from a local installation.

Bonaire masterclass
April 2026, with the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, STINAPA, Tourism Corporation Bonaire, and the Bonaire local government.

Reefy NL Space Campus Voucher
A proof of concept for Reefy, delivered through the NL Space Campus Voucher programme, identifying which satellite derived water quality indicators, including chlorophyll a, turbidity, and CDOM, are feasible for near real time biodiversity and water quality monitoring. The work included an early warning prototype for anomaly detection and was tested across coastal sites in the Caribbean and Mexico. It laid the technical groundwork for Marmoris’s ongoing BIMISEOM and IBIS projects.

IBIS, satellites meet eDNA
We are developing how satellite indicators and eDNA biological sampling can work together to capture biodiversity effects that standard surveys tend to miss. This is exploratory work, not a finished service. Underway since February 2026, running through 2027.

BIMISEOM Phase 1
BIMISEOM Phase 1 is a feasibility study, funded by the Netherlands Space Agency, exploring whether satellite water quality data and in situ eDNA sampling can be combined into a single predictive model for biodiversity, IBIS. Delivered with partners Reefy and 52impact, the project runs through August and September 2026 and will determine the technical roadmap for bringing biodiversity monitoring into Reefy’s BlueBioDex platform.
Offshore Energy →Aquaculture & Fisheries
More aquaculture and fisheries work will appear here as projects are confirmed and cleared to name.
