Privacy policy

Last updated July 2026. This policy explains what personal data Marmoris B.V. collects through marmoris.nl, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep this short and plain on purpose.

Who we are

Marmoris B.V. is a specialist Earth Observation company based in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

What data we collect

We only collect what you give us, and what is needed to run the site:

• Details you submit through our contact form: your name, email address, organisation, the sector you select, and the message you write.
• Basic technical data your browser sends, which our hosting logs for security and reliability, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
• If analytics is enabled, aggregated and non identifying usage statistics such as which pages are viewed and where visitors arrive from.

Why we use it

• To read and respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible project. This is our main reason.
• To keep the website secure and working.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used, so we can improve it.

We do not use your details for marketing without your explicit consent, and we never sell your data. Our legal basis is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in running and securing the site.

Who it is shared with

Your data is read by the Marmoris team. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site, and only as far as needed to provide their service: our web hosting provider, our WordPress form plugin that delivers your enquiry to us, and any analytics tool we use. These providers process data on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes. We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area unless a provider offers appropriate safeguards required under the GDPR.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting relationship, and no longer than three years after our last contact, unless a longer period is legally required. You can ask us to delete it sooner. Server logs are kept for a short period for security, then removed. Aggregated analytics data contains no information that identifies you.

Cookies

By default this site sets only the cookies strictly necessary for it to function, for which no consent is required. We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies. If we enable website analytics, we use a privacy friendly setup that measures visits in aggregate. Any non essential or analytics cookies are placed only after you agree through the cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. The banner lets you accept or decline non essential cookies before any are set.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these, email admin@marmoris.nl and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

We will update this policy when our practices change, and note the date at the top.
